Looking for wooden prefab/panelized Garage kit. Apparently, steel kits are all over the place, but I want the conventional looks so it matches the house.

Really it will be a shop, so I'm looking for about 900+ sq ft.

Location is Southern California. Apparently extra re-enforcing is required. Seismic zone 4. 85 MPH wind load, no snow load.

Pacific modern homes will custom design me a kit, but I'd like to find at least one more vendor.

Like ironroad9c1 said, The 84 lumber ones are not prefab kits at all. It's a set of plans with a materials list, and they are happy to sell you the materials at a higher price by calling it a kit.

I bought my plans for a 28x28 garage from 84 lumber for about $6.00, then shopped around for the materials(2x's, trusses, siding, roofing, etc.) and saved a few thousand over what they would have charged me for a kit. Everything you need is listed on the plans.

BTW: I think 84's plans are pretty darn good.

I don't know of any prefab builders, but if you have any modular home builders in your area, you may want to check with them. They may be willing to build the panels for you. Many modular homes builders use panelized garages.
