:wall: :wall: just started this two days ago but getting worst unit cycles fine and then compressor cuts off but doesnot come back on untill cut off for a few mins or turn dial to fan for a little while then turn back to ac cool for a while cycles a few times then same thing help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am glad you posted. I am looking to solve the same problem. We are trying to sell our house and this is not a plus :rolleyes: It must be fixed as this is one of the best rooms in the house (2nd story attic converted to a very "cool" family/TV/computer room).
I just read on another post about removing and cleaning the unit. I think I might try this to see if it helps. I will also check back to see if anyone has any further suggestion.

...take it out of the cage, wrap the fan motor with plastic, then mix you up some bleach and water and spray the coils really good, let sit ten mins. and begin to flush the coils out, once done let it dry some and pit back the unit in the cage, put a new filter on it and turn it on, depending on how dirty the coils are it should help a lot.
