I'm replacing my free standing (Whirlpool) electric range and I have been eyeing a Maytag (Model# MER555QAB). I don't want a smooth range top as I want to be able to use all of my cookware, including several pieces of cast iron. I am a senior citizen and I don't want to have to replace my cookware and I have been hearing "nightmare" stories about the smooth cook tops.
Any one here have a Maytag range? All advise will be greatly appreciated! :)
