I am currently studying Heat Pumps in school and have been assigned a project that I am having trouble with. I am working on a Heat Pump and it has a Defrost Board. We are trying to swap out the Defrost Board for an ICM Model 300 Defrost Timer. I am having sooo much trouble figuring out the wiring for it. Any help with links or numbers to call would be appreciated.
My Defrost Board is 24v. One side has my T-stat wires coming in connecting to O,E,W2,R,Y,C and the other side of the board has OF2 going to Fan Relay Coil, then common. OF1 jumped to R. Y going to the Low Pressure Switch, the Contactor Coil then common. O going to the Reversing Valve Solenoid then to common. DFT going to Defrost T-stat then to common.
The ICM 300 has 24v. It has a circuit to "Hold" on the board with a T-stat (N/O) A circuit to the 24v. with Defrost T-stat (N/O) A Defrost Relay going from the 24v. board back to "out" on the board. And a common on the board. The 24v. from the transformer comes into the board from the T-stat and goes out the common. It also has 30, 60, and 90 settings and Test written on it.
The urgency is that I need to do this by 7:00 am tomorrow morning and I have been working on it all weekend and even asking HVAC techs but they aren't familar with Heat Pumps. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.
