If I'm asking a question that has already been asked, I apologize.
I live in a mobile home along with the rest of my family. I have a 12 year old granddaughter who refuses to accept the fact I do not want her in my room while I'm not home. I purchased and installed two different locking door locksets, to no avail as she just uses a screwdriver to gain entry. I've just installed a new one today, but I doubt this will deter her. Is there any other security measures I can take that insure she does not gain entry?

Welcome to the board! What I would suggest is to go to either someplace like one of the big box stores, or your local locksmith and purchase an entrance knobset. Just keep in mind that these do slow you down in the event of things like a fire. If you do get one, remember that because you live in a mobile home, you will need a special latch bolt. (Due to the thin walls and doors.)

Also, another thought is to install your locks with the screws on the inside of your room. This will prevent anyone from simply using that screwdriver to remove the knobset.

Again, and I can't stress this enough, take note of the delay caused by a regular entrance knob on your door.

Hi kidmegabit;
Another item that works well in a case such as yours (and is reasonably inexpensive), is to buy a "jimmy proof" lock. When properly installed, this will over come one gaining entry with a simple screw driver as the lock and keeper are interlocked together when engaged.
