Hi,
i've got a home build in the 50s and it's wiring has been updated since then. I've got a black and white wire coming from the box. The new ceilng fan has four wires. I'll tie the hot wires to the black, and the negative to the white, but what do I do with the ground wire? Thanks in advance for your guidance.

If you house has no grounding, then you can't connect the fan's grounding wire. You'll need to leave it unconnected.

Hmm. Ok. Should I "cap" the ground wire or screw it into the box? I really appreciate your guidance!! :)

If there's a green screw on the fan's mounting bracket, connect it there. Otherwise, buy a green grounding screw and use it to attach it to the metal box.
