This is our third year with our grape vines. In the previous years the grapes have gotten spots on them and haven't produced any good ones. This year the clusters really look good but there are some signs of spots starting on some of them. What is the problem and what can we do about it? TIA

Knowing color of spots and their location would provide more clues for identification. The color of spots and their location is helpful in identifying the problem and the solution. In the meantime, you might want to do some more internet research on leaf spot on grapes. Please post back with more information.

The leaves of the vines look o.k. The grape clusters looked really good but now there are black spots appearing on the grapes. They start out as little spots but get bigger and the grapes seem to die.

If spots start out small (often with lighter colored centers), the grapes may have black spot (anthracnose). Fungicide sprays are often necessary to protect grapes.
