For some reason my tractor will only run for about 10 minutes before stalling. when it stalls it backfires. I have replaced the airfilter, fuel filter, and spark plug. What else can i check to find out what is going wrong. It's a 93 craftsman tractor with a 14 hp kohler engine.

Are you having to jump start it to get it going? Sounds like it could be the fuel shutoff solenoid on the bottom of the carb losing power because of battery/charging system problems or a bad wire or connection. It could also be an ignition problem. Does it re-start immediately after it dies? If not, check for spark after it dies.
