I'm not happy with the pressure / volume of water from
my sprinklers (not just recently, since installation).
My property is in Florida, near Tampa, the soil is strictly
sand. I have a shallow well that was installed with 4 well points.
The inlet pipe size is 1 1/2 inch at the pump, but as the well
points are brought together underground I have no idea how
large the well points are, or how deep they are.
The pump is a StaRite, but I can't read the model number of
the pump or its motor (too faded). Thee is a check valve on
the inlet side.
My question is; "How many well points do you need for a
given size pump?" I.e., if I want to increase my pump HP
and flow rate, how can I tell if I have enough well points?
If more are needed, how do I add new ones to the existing
well points?
