I am replacing my old heat pump and humidifier, and contractor told me that there is no need for humidifier if you have a heat pump. He said that you need to have a humidifier only for the furnace (because it burns air) but not for the heat pump. Is it a true statement?
My second question is about my existing humidifier. It is installed on the air return, not air supply. The manufacture (Aprilair) states that the humidifier needs to be installed on the air supply. Should I reinstall it?
Thank you very much for your help.
