Ok, i have a Trane model # wcho24a100ab, serial # d42164054, and the unit cool fine if i can get it to work i have to turn it on and off several times for the motor to turn on. most of the times only one fan turns on and i get hot air, i have to "play" with the termostat till the second motor turns on. i have climbed up top of my house to look at it, one of the motors does not turn on all the time. my question is; is the motor bad or is something else bad?

the motor inside does work, the fan motor does not work, and i climbed up top and i can hear a relay humming while the fan motor/compressor are not kicking in

Could be a bad contactor or capacitor, check to see if you have 220 volts coming into the contactor, if your not up to the task get a pro because you could harm yourself.

Ok, i pulled out all of the capacitors and tested them they are working fine, i pulled out the contactor and the two little pads are worn out. i went down to the local ac store and got it for 16.78 i replaced it and now it is working fine. saved myself 1500 dollars some ac contractors were charging me to fix it. thanks hilton! your alot of help!!!
