MY toilet started to wiggle and shortly after stink. I pulled it up and replaced the wax ring and reseated it. The problem of stinking continued and now it leaked a bit. I repeated this 3 more time using differant types of wax rings, but still no fix. This time I did a closer inspection of the flange and found it to have a crack ~1 inch down. When I slightly pry up at the bolt location it opens way up. I guess it needs replacing or is there another fix.
To replace it do I have to :thumbdn: knock out the creat arround the pipe, cut the flange out and piece a new one in with a short piece of pipe and a connector, or  does it simply unscrew and a new one can be screws on?

sirBB, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
If I were in your position, I would silicone the crack. It sounds like the flange was not screwed down to the concrete. Buy some Tapcon screws and the drill bit that is for the same size and screw the flange down to the concrete. This should solve your problem without cutting the concrete. If the flange is not connected firmly to the concrete, it will break again. Good luck.
