The AC unit turns on outdoors fine, no air blows throughout the house. Occasionally the blower hums as if it is trying to turn on but it never does. There is frost on the copper coil comin gout of the blower unit and the insulation around it is wet. Any ideas what might be wrong?

Check the capacitor with a meter if its bad replace it if it tests good then you'll need to replace the motor.

With the inside fan turned to on try and give the blower wheel a push to spin it. If it takes off and runs then its just the capacitor. Dont run the out door unit till you get this fixed
