89 ford 460 is it HOT

I Just Bought A 36 Foot 89 Cruise Air With A Ford 460 ...temp Is Running 230 Is This To Hot. I've Heard 460 Runs Hot..all Fans And Fan Cluchs Seem To Be Working..don't Think Cooling System Is Durty I Would Like Any Advice...thanks, Dan

it dont seem to be to bad but i would put a new thermostat in just to be safe since it is new to you this way you can make sure its not sticking put in a 180 and it should run a lot cooler

thanks i know it has a 204 thurmostate now ..but you feel 180 will be fine....can't hurt to try it ...will keep an eye on things..thanks again dan

If you overheat this puppy it will wind up costing you big bucks. Do yourself a favor, pull the radiator have it boiled out or repaired, change the stat, replace all hoses, replace anti freeze and make sure fans come on. This way you'll know where you're at.
