Filling a swimming pool and strain on well pump.

Hi all. I have a small 14ft dia by 3 1/2 ft deep swimming pool (< 2000 gallons) that I am about to fill. My well pump is a 10 gal per min submersible. I am worried about the constant cycle-on-off on my well pump when filling this pool as i heard that constant cycling is what kills a pump. So I am wondering what the consensus here is on allowing the pump to run continuously when filling the pool?

My well pressure tank is new and in good condition.

Repeated cycling of the pump is not good if the cycles are seconds apart.

A couple of things to check:
Make sure the pneumatic tank is properly charged with air.
Use as large a hose as you can so that the flow rate will exceed the pump's capacity. This will ensure the pump runs continuously which is a good thing.

i just hooked up my well to fill my pool. my pool is 24ft around and 48 inches tall. that equal's out to 18,000 gallons and my well done just fine. i had two garden hoses hooked to it so the pump would run nonstop. just wanted to share my expierence with you.
