I posted a thread a few weeks ago about mold in my attic. The responses I got said to spray it with a 4-1 water to bleach solution. I have done that, but am wondering if I need to scrub the wood or anything like that...

The solution was meant to kill the mold. Make sure you have eliminated the source of moisture or the spores could come back to haunt you.

We had a new furnace installed with a house humidifier. That was the culprit. I'm installing an attic fan soon as well.
How can I be sure I killed it all? What can I do about the trail it leaves (thinking about re-sale value down the road)?
Thanks!

The 4 to 1 bleach solution is what I used in my basement. Bleach will kill the active mold growth and maybe the spores depending on the type of mold. You can scrub if you want but if you spray to kill the active mold growth and keep your attic (and everywhere in your house) dry, you won't have a problem again. Check your basement and crawlspaces. General rule is mold grows within 48 hours of water saturation so keep it dry, expecially if you get water in your basement from rain or whatever. Also on your humidifier, I wouldn't let it get your house over the 40% humidity range...just my opinion though.
