I have an old chandelier that I would like to hang in my garden however it is not wired for outdoor use. Can a fixture such as this be rewired so that it may stay outside? If so, where would I find the hardware for doing so. This fixture has the small bulb base not the standard light bulb receptacle.

About the only way I would attempt to do this would be to have it rewired for low-voltage operation and hook it up through a landscape light transformer. I can't think of any way to properly (safely) weatherproof a chandelier for an outdoor application at 120 volts.

How about hanging it without hooking it up and then and then shine a landscape light at it?
