i am replacing my subfloor under my toilet and i must replace the flange also should i use the ones that use wax seal or go with the waxless system??????

I am from the "old school" and would recommend the wax seal. I have seen a couple posts in here and they were not good. Also, some do not meet code. You may want to check on that also. Good luck.

Though wax will form a great initial seal, it can shift, crack, part, erode, over time.

Gravity is relentless. My belief is that, if I'm relying on some kind of sticky sealant to block water - from going where gravity will send it - then I'm doing something wrong. Better work with gravity:

A plastic ring can be set under a toilet such that water would have to run uphill (normally impossible) to escape it. The additional wax around the ring merely blocks sewer gas, holds the plastic in position, and temporarily stops water in the unlikely event of a backup.
