Okay, help! What way are the fans suppose to be going for the summer?? Or what angle are they suppose to be going. I've looked and looked on this wonderful forum for it and I can't believe I am the only one that doesn't know this!!! Please Help, (House is soooo Warm) :) :alarm:

Blows down in the summer for that cool refreshing breeze. Blows upward in the winter to redistribute the warm air collecting at the ceiling.

Mine blows down always. There is no rule. Do what ever makes your house feel cool or hot as you require or doesn't blow the papers off the table.

I agree with Joe. This is not a one-size-fits-all situation. Try it both ways and see what you like. Most people like it to blow down in the summer, but that doesn't mean that it's the best for you and your room. The idea is to get it so that you can feel the cooling effect of moving air on your skin.
For me, I don't like to use it in the winter at all, no matter which way it blows. And in the summer, it makes no sense to run it at all except while you are actually in the room.
