I have older Amana Dryer model # LE8317w2. About two months ago, it would run just fine, then like over heat or something, and shut off. This has been the situation. I told my husband that I though that we needed to clean and vacuum under it.
This weekend that dryer has no heat. I have checked replacement parts and there are heating fuses and heating elements, ect. ect. We don’t want to replace the wrong item. Does anyone out there have an answer please? :wall:

find the thermostat and the high limit fuse and check them for continuity. Specically check the thermal fuse. once it blows it will need to be replaced and the dryer will not heat at all.It looks like this.It needs to show continuity.

If that is ok check the rest of the fuses, thermostats,[limiters-whatever]. I think this will show you what they look like.Just check to make sure the show continuity. This is just my approach I am not a mechanic.
