I have heard that wood inserts are quite a bit less efficient than wood stoves which have more heating surfaces.
Can anyone tell me if a wood insert is any more efficient than just putting glass doors on fireplace and maybe a heat exchanger in the chimney? thanks,

Hallo, I like to recommend a very efficient fireplace (up to 80 %) used by myself. It’s built as a wood-burning fireplace. Connected to the central heating it delivers heat and hot water as well. Check the Internet for technical information from the manufacturer xxxxxxxxxxxxx
