Hello all-

I have a front loading Kenmore washer that was just installed - it shook like crazy during the high speed spin cycle - I adjusted the feet to make sure they all were tight against the floor. This helped the problem for a couple weeks, now it is shaking again and even slides across the floor towards the dryer. Is this is an issue with the feet, leveling or what? If leveling, do you just put a level on top of it left to right and front to back and adjust the feet until it is level? Any other things that could cause this? It came with a big metal bracket - looked like you could fasten it to a wall - but the installers said that wasn't necessary - so it has been thrown away - yes, prior to noticing the problem.

Any thoughts or suggestions?? Thanks in advance!!

Seems that you need to screw down a piece of 3/4 plywood under the machine and put the machine on top of it[at least on a second floor install, not sure about 1st]. Perfectly level. And hope it works. It seems that it spins a little faster than a neptune 1000 vs 800 rpm > neptune has a balancing mechanism that slows the machine down as many times as necessary to balance the load. Don't know about the kenmore and I am not reccomending the neptune. Just some observations.

If yours vibrates toward the dryer I would also try to fill up the space between the washer and the dryer with something. Maybe the other side to. Assuming this would not affect the operation of the washer.

They Are Designed For Solid Floor.... Level Left O Right And Foward To Back... Ensure You Tighten The Jam Nuts On The Legs Too... The Brackets That Came With It Were For Mounting Dryer On Top Of Washer... If Your Unit Is On The Optional Pedistle Look To See That The Rubber Isolaters Are Btween Unit And Pedistle.. 4 .. 1 Betwen Each Corner.... And On 2nd Or 3rd Floor 3/4 - 1 In. Plywood Needs To Be Srewed To The Floor To Stiffin... Screw Into Studs Is Best And Never Too Many....
