I would like to paint the stone, brick, and cement around my fireplace, and install a mantle. What type of paint does one use? As far as the mantle goes, we presently have a cement structured mantle which gets VERY hot why is this? (The fire place has a metal face plate with a door.)Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance.
