My Kenmore washing machine leaks!- it seems to be coming from the top (inside) when the water is dispensing- there is a clear plastic thing that the water comes out of- it just doesn't seem to come down far enough and it looks like the water is going to the outside of the tub???? Someone told me about a seal around the top of the tub?? Anyone- please help~

You can get a better look, even while the washer's filling, with the top raised. The whole thing hinges back, but first must be unlocked by deflecting two spring clips with a firm putty knife. The stubborn clips are hidden between the top and body of the washer, in front and an inch or so from the corners. Inserting anything thicker than a putty knife (e.g. a screwdriver) may chip the enamel.
You may see a rubber hose obviously detached. In that case unplug the machine so you can safely get in there and reconnect, maybe with a new hose clamp.
Otherwise, prop the top up so the lid switch stays "closed", get ready to pull the plug, and set the washer to fill. Keep us posted.
