I just moved into a 2 year old home that has a gas fireplace (FMI Brand - Model DVF36T/TP) and it has two wall switches next to it. The first one turns on and off the fire. The second is a mystery. It doesn't seem to do anything. Anyone have any idea what this second switch might be for? The previous owner failed to leave any instruction manual.

I have a similar situation, but the switches control a fan/blower that circulates hot air through holes in the brick hearth.
