Hello, I find myself in need of a Garden cart to pull behind my Gravely tractor. I saw one today at "Tractor Supply", but at $250.00!
It was made by Agri- Fab and had a tilt bed (Dump). Axles had Zerk fittings.
However I can't find there home page to view all models and make up my mind! I can't tell you the capacity because they didn't know!
Can you help? What in the heck is there home page link??

Try the Lowes near you. I got mine there last year. The difference in price is size and weight it can hold.

You can also google agri-fab carts and look at the web sites of companies that sell them.

I went to the Agri-Fab web site and looked at all the carts. The one I saw at tractor supply was the "Poly Exployer '10' Dump Cart", classified as a "ATV" cart with wide wheels and tires.
They have other carts with the same Poly type bed and capacity, but with a 3/4 inch Axel instead of a 1" and those "SMALL TIRES" which I know will give me trouble on my terrain because they dig in.
Stuck, any thoughts, price difference is over $100.00 ?

I have the utility 10 dump cart. It does a fine job for what it is. Before you get a cart, make sure that the load will not exceed the rating for your transmission on your tractor. You would not want to burn it up.

Chfite, no problem with the transmission! That is probably the strongest point on a Gravely tractor. They are geared so well it is major overkill, but you are ready for anything! I have had it for over 18 years and never had a part break except a clutch Link. I am now experiencing a clutch problem that i am going to post on somewhere!

Your, utility '10', is that a poly or metal body? Does the '10' stand for 10 cu feet?
The Questions: I am trying to figure out if it is worth while to get the model I talked about just for the bigger tires, Axel, etc. It's capacity is only 650 lbs with the same size poly bed of those at 1/2 the price. Can you put bigger/wider tires on your cart?

I think I may be changing my choice! ChFite, have you had any problems with your cart that I should be aware of? I looked at the Utility "10" Poly and it is everything that the one I wanted , except for the tires and grease fittings. I have to admit that bothers me, but, they can be replaced if it becomes a problem.
Your thoughts?

I like my cart. It was about $120 at Lowes. I've used it many times - hauling firewood, dirt, leaves. So far, it has met my needs.

Tried an experiment today. Took my wheel borrow and put 100 pounds in it and tried to push it through the really soft/wet ground in the bottom of my valley. No dice, it just dug in.
Doe's anyone know if I can get flotation type wide tires for the 3/4 inch axles or, are they only available on 1' axles?

PS. Wheel borrow tire is 14" X 4". Same as cart. In fact looks exactly like the same tire.

Bear in mind though, that the weight 100 pounds would actually be 50 pounds per wheel, with two wheels. Also, be sure the hitch is the same as on your tractor, (e.g. 3-point hitch tractor, 1-point hitch cart)

The 'Utility 10' looks good to me, but on the other hand, I haven't used it, so I wouldn't know. Price.... Used would probably be lower, but if you do get it used, make sure you aren't getting a "cheapie".

Good Luck!

My dump cart has held up well. It looks a bit shop warn from all the use: chipped paint, rust, scratches, and dents. Even crowned over with dirt, it moves right along. I don't have any muddy places to deal with here, so I have not tested it for bogging down.

Hello guys. I was going to get the Utility "10", but the tires really suck for my terrain. Then I figured what the heck, and looked it up again and found it did not have any "Zerk" fittings to load the axle with grease, that did it, I must have grease!
I went by Home Depot to see if I had overlooked anything and saw that they carry John Deer Carts ($170.00) with the poly bed with built in holes for side racks, tilt bed, big tires, square instead of like the wheel borrow (oval), and "Zerk's" so you can keep it greased. It's 40 bucks more but has the things I feel are essential, and is definitely better quality than Agri-Fab.
So if nothing turns up by Monday, I will probably get one. If I remember correctly they were made by a company called "Hunter".

I don't like to leave things unfinished!
I bought the John Deere 10P cart and can tell you right now, it might look like it was made by Agri-Fab, but no way! Everything is quality, way ahead of them.
Thanks guys, Changeling
