I have a JennAir side by side with an ice/water dispenser in the door.
Model # JSD2388AEW
The ice and water dispenser quit working and it didn't have any LED's lit.
I took it apart and found some of the plastic parts including the ice door shaft and the bracket that holds the solenoid had been distorted by heat. There was also evidence of a small amount of soot.
I would think that the solenoid is the only part that if shorted out could cause that kind of heat.
Should I replace the boards also.
