Hi,
I love my stainless steel thermos
Of course it sits with coffee in it most of the day, almost every day
It rather brown inside there now
I do wash it out every day with a scrubby thing on a stick, but it's pretty stained
Any suggestions?
Thank you

Fill thermos with bleach/water solution or baking soda (3 tablespoons) and water solution. Let set overnight. Rinse out next morning. This will remove stains. Or, you can fill thermos with water and drop in an Efferdent denture tablet.

Didn't they do this on an old TV ad?
How could I have forgotton that?
I will try these suggestions
Thank You!

Well I did the foaming denture cleaner
It says 5 minutes or can be left overnight
It's a good size thermos so I plopped 2 in and left it for a few hours
It didn't look like it did much, but it was pretty bad
So I did another two overnight
The next morning when I cleaned it it looked better
I used it that day
The last cup out of it was rather minty
Note to others: See if they have non-minty foaming denture tablets
Dropped 2 more in when I got home and let them sit for a while
Cleaned up unbelievably nice
I left some H2O in it overnight so not to have minty coffe the next day
Worked great
The inside's more shiney than the outside!
I'll have to figure out a regular cleaning schedule to keep it that way
Thanks twelvepole

More thanks twelvepole. I normally spray in an industrial blade & bit cleaner - fiendishly corrosive and probably toxic stuff - which works in seconds. But I wonder about the residues.
I'll try Efferdent.

Oh yeah, I couldn't remember the name suggested when I was in the store so I got Polydent
I'd go with whatever doesn't have "minty freshness" if possible
Of course, that's probably better than a tri-cloro-ethane and methyl-ethyl-keytones after taste...
(just bustin' ya Kobuchi :))

Make sure you rinse thermos thoroughly after letting set overnight with cleaner in order to avoid flavoring your coffee with cleaner.
