Spent all weekend installing a washer and dryer into my condo. Washer is plumbed, and I wired a 3 wire 240 plug for the dryer.
Problem is, the dryer is tumbling, but there's no heat. I've found the heating element, thermal fuse, and thermostat to be in working order. I've narrowed it down to the timer module, (which I'd have to buy and take the risk of that not being the problem) or that I need to wire the plug with a four wire plug. The dryer plug is 3 wire. 2 positive, one neutral. btw- getting 120 volts on each positive wire, and the circuit breaker is good. Suggestions on fixing it? thanks

I got some help from another board and figured it out. I moved the circuit breaker up a notch, thus sharing BOTH 120 volt lines. Was only hooked up technically as a 120v connect before. Woo hoo! :)
