When I went to shake the bottle the cap broke and the bottle flew across my living room. It left 10 continuous fishhook shaped lines(about a foot each) of dark brown nail polish on my light beige living room carpet. Alittle also got on my computer chair & desk.
Is there anyway to remove it, without damaging my carpet?
Thanking you in advance 4 your replys!

Not sure about carpet sweetpea, but for drywall you chip off the excess then follow with acetone or mineral spirits. It's the solvent that should break down the nail polish because if it works on walls why not chairs, carpet and such. If soap and water doesn't work try mineral spirits. Hope that helps.

For the carpet, i would suggest applying rubbing alcohol to a rag not the carpet and blotting. You may also be able to use nail polish remover. Test in a corner or under furniture first for color fastness. This process may take some time. But it should work. If neither works. I would try going to your local home improvement store in search of a solvent based cleaner that is reccommended for that. Either way, do not apply directly to the carpet only to the rag. This will help avoid backing seperation.

Blot from outside stains toward middle with non-acetone nail polish remover and white rag to prevent spreading. Apply remover to rag. Continue to blot until polish is removed. Be patient and persistent. Because non-acetone remover is banana oil, you will have to follow up by blotting with 1/4 teaspoon dishwashing detergent in 1 cup water to remove oily residue. Then, blot with plain water to rinse. Any residue left in carpet will attract soil and cause rapid resoiling. Use non-acetone remover on computer chair and desk.
