Have a house built o/a 1950. The bathroom has 4x4 tiles made out of some kind of plastic. Decided to remove these, and behind them is some kind of very thick and hardened adhesive that was 'raked' on to the wall.

Any suggestions of how to remove the 'raked' adhesive?

Thank you in advance for your help.

BTW, these tiles are not on the floor. They are on the walls!!

Cannot understand why the post was moved to Flooring...

Cause we know tile over here, what is the wall made of?

Do you plan on retiling this wall, or something else?:)
