I just had new vinyl replacement windows installed, and I need to know if there are any retro-fit kits I could use for my AC unit? In the old windows, it sat on the sill can screwed into the wood sash. Alternatively, is there any advice on how to make it work using a home made solution?
Thanks,

The screws are normally for security reasons. I wouldn't set a window shaker in a vinyl window without support under the back side if it's a very big unit. I have a 5,000 btu unit in a room in my house that we like extra cold and it's fine in the vinyl window.
