We have just completed a second floor addition to our home, this addition equaled the size of the original building. I chose to use seperate h/a/c units to increase the effiecency. As well they both are Hi efficiency units. Topside we have a 12 seer, below we have a 10seer. Can anyone give me an idea or suggestion regarding how to regulate the two a/c units for the most effective cooling?

It will be trial and error for a while. Usually the upstairs unit will be set a little lower in cooling season than the downstairs and the opposite in heating season.
