Hey folks,,,, im hoping you can help me out here....

i just replaced an old common honeywell brown or gold round thermostat w/ a new honeywell round digital one (model CT8775C).... wired exactly as old one was...

The only way to get cold air coming through the vents is to have it set on "cool" on the left side and "fan on" on the right....In other words, the ac/ won't come on and keep the house cool automatically...

There is a switch downstairs located by the burner which was off when new thermostat was installed... I am now wondering if i should of turned off something else before this install???...

If i do find the fusebox switch to the a/c and reset it, is it probable that my problem will be solved???? THANKS IN ADVANCE......GARY

If you wired the stat properly the fan should come on automatically when you put it to cool and set the temp below space temp. If you are having to flip the fan switch to the on position then something is wrong with the stat.

Does the outdoor unit run when the t-stat is on Auto/cool??

If yes, and no fan inside till you switch to "on" then sounds like t-stat.
