I recieved a seniors school jersey today with the plastic numbers '05 printed on the back... i didnt realise till 2 hours later that i had imprinted some numbers i had written on my hand in pen (colors puprle and blue) onto the hug 05 on the back... i tried everything from soap and water to eucalyptus oil to jif cleaner. i didnt try turps or nail polish remover as i am scared the actual plastic numbers will be taken off ... (im assumming they are plastic) . The numbers are white, but i dont know if that makes a difference since its plastic not fabric.
If anyone could help me id GREATLY!!! appreciate as i just got it today, it was heaps expensive and i hope i havent ruined it!!
thankyou... rachel

Ink is a petroleum based spot. So, it requires a solvent cleaner. You may want to try applying some rubbing alcohol to a rag and gentely blotting the area. It shouldnt hurt the plastic letters as long as you dont soak the area itself.

The stain is likely permanent if alcohol did not budge it. Plastic tends to be porous and absorbent of ink.
