I have a top load maytag washer that I have used only about 50 times. it wil lnot spin at a rgular speed(clothes are still wet). I have checked pump and hoses also the drum is out still slow speed. I can turn it with the belt on the bottom but very hard and there is a spot where it frees up each time it goes around. Do not know if the brake is not releasing and if that is the case I do not know how to release it.
