Help! I am battling the home warranty repairman! I have very little air coming from my fllor vents. Yes, the air filters are clean, the outside coils is clean, I wash that off about 2 times a day. The a/c man came out and replaced the condensor motor. I am still getting very little air flow. But.... the unit in the garage is in a closet, and that closet is very cold  There is cold air coming from somewhere....there is also a nail in the closet..thinking about hanging from there and sleeping in there since it is the only cool spot in the house

Any ideas, anybody?

Sounds like a leak in the ductwork somewhere, either on the outlet side or the return side. It's cold (where it should NOT be cold) and it's warm (where it should be cold). There are two sets of ductwork between those areas - outlet and return.
It appears that the leak is in that closet on the outlet side. When the fan is running that feeds the floor vents, there should be NO air movement in the closet. Wherever there is air movement in a closed closet, there's the leak.
If no leak is found immediately in the closet, then trace each duct from the closet that heads toward a floor vent and find the leak in one of those. The return air ducts COULD have a leak, but room air (or outside air) would be pulled into the duct, since air is returning to the air handler in the closet rather than leaving the closet. Is the airflow from all ducts equally weak?

They replaced the condensor motor because of low airflow?? Sounds like the indoor coil could be frozen, dirty, indoor blower problem, or you could even have a fire damper in the duct that has dropped. Call the company that did the work and talk to the owner. Have him or his best tech come out.

The only vents that air is coming through is the 2 nearest the unit. And the a coil was cleaned. Did call the a/c company back several times today, but they have yet to call me back.
