I have a Kenmore Refridge model 596.92890 and I broke off the post of the water filter housing when I was changing the filter. I ordered the new part- it is a Pentapure housing number 12319903 and serial # 203004. The problem I have is I can't figure out how to get off the inlet and outlet hoses on the sides of the old housing. The plastic tubing has swivel elbows on both sides, but there is no nut to remove the hoses, and I tried pushing the hoses into the fitting to release them- that didn't work either. I've never seen these types of fittings before. Do I need a special tool? Please help.
