soon, and I want a very thin grout line, the size of the side of a penney. Is this ok, or do I have to have a larger space between tiles? The floor beneath is cement slab. Thanks for info.

Typically, grout joint spacing is kept between 1/4" to 5/16" wide for floor tile. If the ceramic tile you selected varies in size by more than an 1/8" then spacers will prove to be of little use. You can use tile spacers to account for 1/8" grout lines, but again if the tile you selected varies in size, it will be difficult to maintain the size of grout line and spacers will not be very helpful.

3/16 to 1/4" is the norm for ceramic, stone can be 1/16 to 1/8" because it is cut more uniform in size, Spacers are a waste of time on a floor, grid it.:)
