I have Admiral Washer Model # LNC6757A77. It runs through some of the cycles but not all. It stops with tub full of water. You have to keep turning the timer dial to find another cycle to drain the water. It appreas to be working on all other cycles but drain. The Maytag part # 35-5029.
Any one with any ideas. My guess is the timer. May need to find a used timer.
Thanks

Another related question.
Can this timer be cleaned by spraying Contact cleaner or something else? Would it be worth opening it to see what is causing the problem?

More than likely you will find the timer dead in all SPIN cycles. This is very common in the Admiral and Magic Chef brand. The only fix is to replace the timer. Period. No wd-40, etc, will fix it.

Thanks for your response.
I sprayed a little electronic contac cleaner, but had no success. I am also having problem locating, preferably a used, timer. Website search does not help much.

Thank for your reply.
As I stated earlier, I took the timer out and sprayed it with an electronic contact cleaner. I then let it dry for a while and installed it. My wife tells me that the timer started to work again. May be not 100% but definitively better than it was before. This may or may not work for othes but I believe it is worth a try before going to the route of replacing it.
