I've got a light grey cotton shirt that's his "favorite" with a greasy meat stain. It wasn't tended to until about 6hrs post-accident and now it's a permanant resident in the cold water of the kitchen sink! Please help me, I don't want to see a grown man cry :(

Grease stains can often be removed by pretreating with heavy-duty liquid laundry detergent and letting set before washing in detergent and hottest water appropriate for fabric. Air dry and check for stain. Do not put in dryer.

Solvents are recommended for grease and oil stains. If stain remains after air-drying, blot with solvent cleaner like rubbing alcohol, denatured alcohol, or dry cleaning fluid. Blot with white rag or paper towel from outside toward middle to prevent spreading. (Spot check for for ill-effects on dye before proceeding.) Then, pretreat with heavy duty liquid laundry detergent and let set before washing as instructed. Repeat if necessary.
