I just replaced my drop-in sinks in my bathroom. The new sinks have a slightly smaller outer diameter than the old sinks did so there is a blackish ring on the countertop that is being really stubborn with regular household cleansers. I'm thinking there might be someone who knows of a "magic cleaner" (like those "As Seen on TV" products) that has worked miracles for them. PLEASE HELP!!

If old sink had been installed with silicone caulk, then rubbing alcohol should remove the residue. If stain is mineral deposits from water that leaked under the edge of bowl, try placing paper towel over stain and saturate with vinegar. Keep paper towel wet with vinegar to dissolve minerals.
