Does anyone know how to remove Desitin stains from my sofa upholstery?

I've tried a couple of different things, but to no avail....
My boyfriend says it's a job for "Oxy Clean."

Any suggestions?

Thanking you in advance 4 your replys.

We are talking about the diaper rash med right? I would be careful with the oxy-whatever products. A lot of them can damage the area due to oxygen burning. I would try a solvent cleaner...maybe rubbing alcohol..test on the back first and blot..apply to rag and blot. Not to uph surface.

Desitin has to be treated as a grease/oil stain. A solvent cleaner is required. Use white rag and solvent cleaner, blotting from outside toward middle to prevent spreading. Continue to blot until stain is gone. Rubbing alcohol, denatured alcohol, dry cleaning fluid are among recommended solvents. Test first in inconspicuous area for ill effects on dyes. Some fabric dyes are unstable and can be affected by solvent cleaners.

Oxy-whatever products are oxygenating bleaches and can affect dyes and fibers with repeated use. Oxygenating bleaches are used to brighten fibers, particularly whites, and tend not to be effective for removing grease and oil stains.

If in doubt, contact a professional upholstery cleaner. One can usually be found in the Yellow Pages.
