I have a new deck with a roof covering. The deck is 3/4 inch tongue and grove exterior plywood on 2 x 8 joists. The deck is 8' x 30' with a slight slope and covers a solarium.
I am considering applying a "peel and stick" membrane for water proofing and using a synthetic wood product such as "trex". The idea would have the decking "float" on the membrane by placing stringers (2x6 "trex") along the slope at close intervals with "trex' perpendicular to the stringers. The stringers would not be fastened through the membrane into the plywood and the walking surface would be screwed to the stringers.
What would be a good "peel and stick" membrane for this use?
