Couple of questions.
What is the purpose of the 2x8? Ledger board?
What knid of brick and stone are we talking about? Brick veneer or brick foundation etc.?

Another question -- whay use a ledger board at all??
Assuming that you are talking about a deck that will come up against these 2 walls, why not make it freestanding and just have the deck boards come up to the stone walls? Sure would make your life simpler!!

I am using the boards to mount 5" seamless gutters (factory recommended). It is part of an underdecking system that I am applying to the deck.
The brick is veneer and not foundational. The stone is also veneer.
