Hi
I had to make foundation wall for my kitchen additaion out of cement block
My worst nightmare was laying the cement block :wall:
Either the cement was to soft or to hard and the block would not hold the right space.
:thinker: i used 4 marble at each end to support the block :D
Now have nice 3/8 joints

I'm not a mason either but have laid several block for myself/friends. Never used marbles but have often used small rocks or dried mortar to help level out the block. My motto - whatever works and still looks good and hey we didn't have to pay a mason!
