The fireplace bricks now have a white washed look to them, excpet where the glass shroud/cover was, those bricks look like they where painted at one time and are different colors. I would like them to match the rest since I threw out the cheap glass shroud and now get to look at the odd color bricks around the permiter of the opening, but with a very nice spark guard. I would like to know what process I need to apply to duplicate the white washed look and what material I need to apply? The grout is also have the white color. The Red bricks have allot of white in the pours, but red still shows? The House was built in 1955 in So Calif. if that matters. :coffee:
