I have 6'x20' atrium in the middle of my house. It's surrounded by a flat hot roof. My wife wants me to install a peaked decorative frame with windows. I've contacted many different sunroom vendors and they've quoted between $6k to $12k. I just can't imagine paying that price.

Any advice?

If they'll install it for that price and guarantee no leaks, it just may be what you have to do. Don't choke on the price. The house I bought for $30K just sold for over $300K!!! It is what it is.
