I need to replace two 5" square x 11'1" columns on the front of my house. They are not actually for support but rather for looks. I need plans for these columns to insure that they do not twist or warp. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The basic idea is a box beam. A box beam is four sided and internally contains plywood or solid wood ribs to strengthen it. The skin could be plywood, OSB, or S4S kiln dried stock and mixtures of. Joinery at the seams depends on the material used. One possible means of construction is depicted below. 2 of A, 2 of B = sides. Ribs 10" O.C.
