I have a sleeping bag and backpack that have been in storage and now smell badly of mildew. How can I remove the odor?

You may want to try to remove the items from the bag..apply some baking soda to the items...and let hang outside if you can and let air out for awhile. Afterwards dry cleaning or regular laundering may be needed. Sounds to mem you may of store the items wet or in your basement?

Spray items with enzyme digester cleaner. Repeat applications may be necessary to eliminate the odor. The secret to using enzyme cleaners is to give them time to work.
